I seem to have lost my roommate. I don’t know where she is. AIM was very screwy this morning, so I’m not even sure if I can go by that. She’s been idle for over an hour. On her calendar, it says she has an appointment at 11am.. but I don’t know where. Maybe it’s far away, so she had to leave early. Her backpack is here, so she came back after class. I hate not knowing things.

I just went downstairs to do laundry, and I finished the bottle of laundry detergent. I was washing it out a little, so that I could recycle it. Kurt walked by, when I was at the sink. He was like, “What are you doing?” So, I explained that it was empty and I was gonna recycling it. He was like, “Ah, so you do practice what you preach.” Of course I do! I’m such a freak - I get all excited when I have something cool to put in the recycling bin. And, I get excited when I’m doing the recycling and I find something cool. Like, something that I wouldn’t think is recyclable (1 or 2 plastic). I’m just weird.

For some reason, I had a lot of clothes to wash. I did it last Tuesday, so it’s been a week. Well, I guess it was the normal amount. Usually, I have two loads to do each week. But since these washers are so much smaller than the ones last year, I decided to put the clothes in 3 washing machines today. That way, they’ll wash properly, unlike last week. I don’t want to go through that again.

Hey, Matt just put up an away message that says he’s doing differential homework. I want to do it with him! Poo. I should be studying for discrete though; I don’t have time for differential yet. Actually, I’m gonna go study now.. I was making some progress yesterday. Let’s hope that continues.

home at last

I’m home!

The drive last night was horrendous. I was done with class at 4pm, so I called up Steve and Emily… they wouldn’t be ready for 15 minutes. But that turned into 25 minutes, so we didn’t leave until around 4:30pm. That’s okay though, because I had originally told them 5pm.

Anyways, it was drizzling at my school. Once we got onto the highway (about a half hour or 45 minutes away), it started to pour. Seriously pour. And that lasted until after I dropped them off, 3.5 hours later.

It was raining so hard, I couldn’t see the road. And the scary thing was that huge trucks were speeding past me. I had promised that I wouldn’t speed, and I’m gonna be honest. In the beginning, I was going 75.. I hit 80 twice, by mistake. As soon as I saw I was that fast, I slowed down. Once I got further north though, I couldn’t even go 75. I was at 65 for almost the whole ride. Sometimes even 55 (which is below the speed limit), because I just couldn’t see. Now, I realize that even though I wasn’t speeding by going 65, I was still driving way too fast. I couldn’t see, I shouldn’t have been going 65. But I just wanted to get home! I hope I didn’t scare Steve and Emily too much…

Oh, and my windshield wipers? So annoying. So so SO annoying. Every time they go to the left, they hit the side of the car where it meets the windshield. It makes a loud clicking, or a screeching squeak. It drove me crazy for the entire ride.

I didn’t get home until 9:30pm. That’s the longest it’s ever taken. I was so thankful that I was home. It was a very tiring drive. Overall, it wasn’t too bad having company, but I would have liked it better alone. Steve was in the front with me, and he didn’t want to control the radio. So it was weird. I just kind of left it on one station until it faded, and then changed it. I didn’t know what kind of music they liked. Oh well. That’s over with.

It feels really good to be home. I think I missed having a kitchen the most. It’s really weird, but this morning, I had an urge to empty the dishwasher. Crazy, huh?

I went to bed around 10:30pm last night, so I woke up at 8am this morning. I didn’t sleep very well, which was surprising for me. I had a lot of dreams, and I kept waking up. Every time I woke up, I didn’t know where I was. I thought I was back at school, but I couldn’t figure out why my alarm clock was on my left side, instead of my right. It was strange. Hopefully tonight will be better.

Now I’m just waiting for my sister to wake up, so we can go to the mall together. It’s still raining, which stinks.. but the mall is a good indoor activity. This afternoon, we’re also going to a party at my cousin’s house. I’m not really sure what it’s for.. maybe her birthday? It should be fun. She’s kind of a distant cousin, but she’s really good friends with my sister. So it’s almost like they’re more family friends, than family. They live in the same town as us, so we see them a lot. It sucks that it’s raining, they have a small house and a big dog…
