Ryan, Megan, Alex, and Katie's Louisville Itinerary
Sunday, January 15, 2017 - Monday, January 16, 2017
Howdy! Can it be? An actual travel itinerary? Yes, we did get a bit lazy in putting these together over the past year or two, but finally, you can track us again! At least for this trip. This time around, we decided to take one of Southwest's cheapie flights to Louisville for the long MLK weekend. It's one of the few times we can travel during the winter, now that school is actually a real thing. It seems like a flight into SDF has become an annual tradition, and usually that means we go to Indianapolis and Cincinnati. This time, however, the weather wasn't exactly cooperating - we were supposed to fly into Kentucky on a Saturday morning and fly back on a Monday afternoon, leaving plenty of time to relax before school started the next day. However, our Saturday flight was cancelled due to potential ice, so we went ahead and rescheduled for Sunday morning. Since an early return on Monday no longer made sense, we changed to the next available, which doesn't land until 9pm (blah...). This also changed our itinerary a bit, so we'll be sticking a bit closer to Louisville for this trek. So, that's that - let's go!
All times are local to the particular city. This trip will take place entirely in the Eastern Time Zone (0 hours behind Eastern, duh).
You know the drill. If we have signal and feel like setting up the webcam, the pictures above will start changing.

Sunday, January 15
Today starts with a morning flight from sunny Baltimore to rainy Louisville . Since we're frustrated that we've already lost a day in this trip, the first thing on our itinerary is to get drunk. Or, at least go to a place that makes things for people that want to get drunk. If time is on our side, we'll have a chance to stop by the Buffalo Trace Distillery as well as Maker's Mark . Since these places close up shop by 3:30 on Sunday, that'll just about do it for the day. We'll head back to our hotel in Louisville and get lots of sleep, given that we won't get as much tomorrow night.
Monday, January 16
It's the last day of our trip! Already?? Today, we'll head into Indiana to visit the Marengo Cave. If time allows (and if we were able to get a late checkout from our hotel), we might go back to the Marriott to try to give Katie a nap. From there, we'll re-visit the Louisville Slugger Museum - one of the coolest factory tours we've ever been to. From there, we'll grab some dinner and get to the airport by 6:00pm. And that's all, folks!
And if that's not good enough, we've still got our guesstimated route highlighted below...
